Being an accredited representative with the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers (NACVS) is truly a high achievement and a well earned privilege. Attending the NACVSO annual training conference you do not need to submit proof that you attended the training (as long as you ensure you are registered, attend all classes, take and pass any required exam, and sign-in).
The easiest, You can attend training outside of the annual NACVSO training. Any training whose syllabus has been approved in advance by the Education Committee counts towards your required 16 CEUs.
State Department of Veterans Affairs and State Association of County Veterans offer training and do cover the required subject matter identified on the NACVSO CEU form. These training environments have more than likely already coordinated with NACVSO Education Committee. Check with the host of the training to ensure that training to be provided does cover the subjects outlined on the NACVSO CEU form.
Other Veterans Service Organizations host annual training events as well.. If you decide to only attend their training, make sure it covers the required minimum 16 CEUs for NACVSO. If it doesn’t, it is your responsibility to attend additional training to complete the required 16 CEUs.
