Tech For Less

Another team project headed up and designed by a third party. Involved some great people within TFL and the expertise of Fauxmachine – another project partner of Skipstones.

Skipstones provided the original XHTML/CSS files and then worked with the various partners to implement, tweak, and muscle the project together. Multiple menu types, some fun javascript, a single page cart, and a client demand for perfection made this a superior project.

K&H Pet Manufacturing

Skipstones Media implemented the skin provided by a third party (they also headed up the project). The geniuses at Splish provided back–end and other various support services.

Modifying an existing skin of a CMS is great way to get high end technology at more reasonable costs. There are caveats, of course, but the level of functionality in the Magento Commerce package used would have cost this client close to six figures if they had opted to have this developed from scratch as a custom solution. This heavily tweaked implementation of Magento allows only logged in users to purchase – effectively creating a method for their wholesale buyers to purchase and catalog only for regular users.
