Corner Alley Review

From my review on Yelp.com

“Weak.  MUCH better bar food can be had elsewhere.  Waiter was nice enough but the place reeked of “We’re really not that interested in quality and are just fine with slopping along” and a reliance on low, Applebees-type expectations.  The place looks great and was clean enough but I would rather patronize a Heights small business.”

Had the deep fried pickles as an appetizer.  The pickles that showed up were sweet, not dill.  Don’t believe the menu specified them as such.  Was like eating deep fried sweet tarts.  Gross.  The beer battered fish I got was on the verge of being too old to use.  All other dishes on the table were mediocre at best except for Riley’s pot roast.  Word has it that was good.  Was so frustrated with the place that I didn’t want to put another thing from it into my system.

Wouldn’t have picked the place, but we all got suckered in by the downtown $30 for two plates deal.

From what I understand, the bowling is $50 an hour with up to six sets of shoes included.  Not sure that’s so good either.
